Coastguard 2013 Kid's Parade

Weather has cooled down immensely! The humidity was taken right out and we are in 60 degree weather (sweatshirt and pants in July? What?!?!). Well, it worked out in our favor today because we had the Coastguard Parade in Grand Haven. We had a blast!

Sadly, I remember seeing shopping carts in the parade when I was a kid and I always thought, "That will NEVER be me! How embarrassing!??!" Well, here I am!

I am on my 8 day stretch off, so it was nice being able to support Brad and his company, Spartan Stores.

 Overall, we have had a great summer! Lots of outdoor time and relaxation. Can hardly believe that we only have one short month of summer weather left.

ONE year ago...

Time goes fast when you're having fun! Yesterday marked the ONE year anniversary of our engagement.

 Last year at this time, Brad & I were on vacation visiting my family out on Vancouver Island in British Columbia, Canada. We had a great time relaxing out on Sproat Lake for the entire week. Good food, lots of laughter, fun games being played, swimming like crazy, and whatever else we decided to do.

 Wednesday, Brad & I decided to drive to Tofino for just a day away at the beach. Well, it ended up being more than JUST a day at the beach. Brad asked for my hand in marriage and I said 'YES!'.

Then...for the next 9 months we kept busy planning our wedding. April 27, 2013 has now come and gone. We had an incredibly beautiful day!

About one month into our marriage we decided to add an addition. Bailey has been a lot of fun to have around. Brad & I work opposite shifts, so it is nice to have someone home when the other one is working. She is full of energy and loves life!

 WoW! Lots happened this past year. Looking forward to what God has planned for us next :)
